Recently we reported that, as of September 1, 2019, all eligible nonimmigrant visa applicants in India should schedule their appointments prior to submitting their respective visa applications and passports at one of the eleven visa application centres (VAC) in India.

Effective October 1, 2019, the VACs will no longer accept walk-ins. Additionally, nonimmigrant visa applicants can submit their visa applications only as follows:

U.S. Embassy, New Delhi	VAC in New Delhi or the document drop-off location in Chandigarh and Jalandhar
U.S. Consulate, Mumbai	VAC in Mumbai or the document drop-off location in Pune and Ahmedabad
U.S. Consulate, Chennai	VAC in Chennai or the document drop-off location in Bangalore and Cochin
U.S. Consulate, Hyderabad	VAC in Hyderabad
U.S. Consulate, Kolkata	VAC in Kolkata
