Disruption in Consular Services World Wide on Account of Technical Issues

A recent update on the official visa information website of the U.S. missions in India had indicated that Department of States’s Bureau of Consular Affairs section is experiencing technical difficulties. On account of this, consular services are disrupted word wide and not specific to any Country or Nationality.

Applicants Requested to Carry Photographs for interview in India

In India, applicants have been advised to carry photographs for the visa interview as some of the photographs were not properly transmitted to the respective post.

Applicants in India who have an interview scheduled between June 14-20, buy have not submitted their visa applications as on June 9, 2015 will have to reschedule the visa interview

If one is applying for a non-immigrant visa from India between June 14 – 20 and have not submitted the visa application form DS160 by June 9, 2015. They will have to reschedule the visa interview and submit a new visa application form DS160.

Appointments Scheduled for June 22, 2015 at the U.S. Consulates in Chennai  Will not Be Honoured

It is indicated that due to unforeseen circumstances, the U.S. Consulate in Chennai will not be able to honour appointments scheduled for Monday, June 22. 2015. Applicants scheduled for this day will have to login to their profile and reschedule the appointment – both biometrics and the visa interview to another day.

Appointments Scheduled for June 22, 2015 at the U.S. Consulates in Hyderabad, Rescheduled to Wednesday June 24, 2015

The update on www.ustraveldoc.com/in further indicates that all visa interviews scheduled for for Monday, June 22. 2015 at Hyderabad are rescheduled to Wednesday, June 24, 2015. There is no change to the biometrics appointment. This schedule change is only for the visa interview at the Hyderabad Consulate.
