A clarification issued by the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad through the VFS regarding submission of documents indicates that applicants required to submit the documents for certain categories of nonimmigrant visas are allowed to do so only 3 to 5 working days prior to the date of visa interview. Applicants will not be permitted to do this earlier than the 5 day or later than the 3 day window. The VFS office accepts document from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Consulate General holidays.
