Effective August 17, 2014, the Consular Electronic Application Center website will no longer support Internet Explorer 6.0 and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 2.0/3.0. Thereafter, users of the site will need an updated browser that supports 128-bit encryption, with Java Script and Transport Layer Security (TLS) enabled. This site is used to complete Department of State (DOS) forms which include DS-160 (Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application), DS-1648 (Online A, G, or NATO Application), DS-261 (Online Choice of Address and Agent), DS-260 (Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application) and payment of immigrant visa fees.

Applicants are requested to update their browsers and settings to continue access to U.S. visa application forms on the web.
