Advance Submission of Documents at U.S. Consulate, Hyderabad Discontinued

VFS Global, administrative partner of U.S. diplomatic mission in India; has updated that the U.S. Consulate, in Hyderabad will discontinue advance submission of documents for H and L visas with effect from Monday, August 6, 2012. Petition based U.S. visa applicants, applying for a visa at the U.S. Consulate, Hyderabad may be aware that relevant documents which included a copy of the H1-B approval notice and evidence of submission of visa application form DS-160 had to be submitted, at least three working days prior to the date of visa interview. The last interview date requiring advance submission of documents was Friday, August 3, 2012. As of this writing the U.S. Consulate in Mumbai is the only mission in India, which requires submission of documents prior to visa interview. This update can be found here.
