Effective April 1, 2026, India has transitioned to a fully digital e‑Arrival Card system for inbound passengers, replacing traditional paper disembarkation forms to streamline immigration and enhance data accuracy.

Under this mandate, all foreign nationals and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cardholders flying into India must submit their arrival details online before entering the country. Travelers are required to complete the e‑Arrival Card within 72 hours prior to arrival.

The e‑Arrival Card can be submitted through:

  • The official e‑Arrival portal: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival/
  • The Indian Visa “Su‑Swagatam” mobile app (available on major app stores)

Travelers must provide:

  • Passport and nationality details
  • Visa type (where applicable)
  • Flight number and date of arrival
  • Address in India and contact information
  • Purpose of visit and emergency contact details

This digital process is a mandatory pre‑arrival requirement for foreign nationals and OCI cardholders and is intended to reduce congestion at immigration counters and support faster, more secure clearance on arrival.

We will continue to bring updates on this important topic.
