CHANGE IN PROCEDURE FOR "NO SHOW" APPLICANTS

If a visa applicant in India is unable to appear for the visa interview at the respective U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate, s/he is considered as "no show"
applicant. Such applicant(s) may after two working days of the original interview date visit the
appropriate VFS office and reactivate the HDFC Bank Receipt and PIN by paying Rs. 155.
Applicants in U.S. Consulate, Mumbai are considered as "no show" if they fail to submit the documents to VFS one week prior to the date of interview. Such applicants may also apply for reactivation of their receipt.
