Latitude
We wanted to give you a little latitudinal information to place the U.S. for
you in relationship to India.
At approximately 40 degrees latitude N. lie Philadelphia, Pennsylvania <in
the mid-Atlantic region>; Columbus, Ohio; Quincy, Illinois <on the banks of
the Mississippi River>; and Boulder, Colorado. On the west coast, it crosses
approximately 150 kilometers north of Sacramento, California. This is all
about 500 kilometers north of the northernmost point of Kashmir.
Mumbai <Bombay> lies at approximately 19 degrees latitude N. This is about
500 kilometers south of Brownsville, Texas and Miami, Florida <the
southernmost cities in the continental U.S.> which lie at approximately 25
degrees latitude N.

with rainfall.

has an average high

- Mumbai <Bombay>
has an average high
