Visa Issuance Fee Eliminated for Indian Non-Immigrant Visa Applicants

The U.S. Ambassador to India David C. Mulford announced on November 9 2006 that effectively immediately, the visa issuance fee of US$ 50 was eliminated for all categories of Nonimmigrant Visas for Indian Citizens. With this the cost of obtaining a U.S. visa for an Indian Citizen has come done by almost 33%.

The visa application fee of US $ 100 and the HDFC service charges are still payable.
